FIAT of Winter Haven is a proud member of Monroe Superstore, and the Low Payment Kings recently held the 6th Annual 18 Aces to Conquer Cancer. This year’s event was a great success with golfers teeing off at the Monroe Golf & Country Club in Monroe, MI. It even offered a chance to win a new vehicle lease with a hole-in-one!
During the fundraiser, we raised money for pancreatic cancer research and patient aid. We also held games, raffles, and of course, a round of golf.
About Pancreatic Cancer
Pancreatic cancer is rarely detected in early stages, making it one of the leading causes of cancer death; symptoms many not appear until it’s way advanced. The legendary Aretha Franklin recently passed away due to the disease, shining a new spotlight on how important research is for those living with it. With more education and understanding of the disease, earlier detection may be a real possibility sooner rather than later.
FIAT of Winter Haven, your local FIAT dealership near Auburndale, FL, was proud to be a supporter of the event. The money raised this year, which was over $22,000, benefits the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute for Pancreatic Cancer Research. The event was created to raise awareness and funds while also having a good time. The Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute is one of 41 Nation Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the U.S., supported by thousands of volunteer and financial donors.
7th Annual Event
Next year’s event is already on the calendar. It will be March 19, 2019 at the Country Club of Winter Haven. FIAT of Winter Haven will be there with hopes to continue to raise even more funds! Find out more about the event by contacting our team today!
